Viana do Castelo

Tras recorrer 800 Km en coche, el cristal me lleva a Viana do Castelo, antes de llegar estuve visitando algunas paginas para saber más de esta población donde tengo una reunión de trabajo.
Tras unos minutos en el hotel, cojo mi camara compacta,(para viajes de trabajo), y salgo a la calle buscando el funicular que me lleve a Santa Luzia. Sabía del clima templado, de la tranquilidad de sus calles y de la desembocadura del río Lima, pero me impresionó la iglesia de Santa Luzia en lo alto del Monte que lleva su nombre, subo en el funicular y al llegar la vista de la playa es impresionante. La iglesia me recuerda mucho al Sacré Coeur de París, efectivamente fué inspirada en el templo parisíno y tiene aires neo- romanicos, bizantinos y goticos.
Desde allí vuelvo en el mismo funicular al centro de Viana y recorro sus calles hasta llegar a la rivera donde admiro el puente sobre el río Lima construído por Alexandre Gustave Eiffel y abierto en 1878.

After 800 Km by car, the crystal takes me to Viana do Castelo, before coming I was visiting some web pages to know more of this population where I will have a meeting.
After a few minutes in the hotel, I take my compact camera, (for trips of work), and I go out to the street looking for the funicular that takes me to Santa Luzia. I knew of the moderate climate, of the tranquility of the streets and the entrance in the sea of the river Lima, but I was impressed by the church of Holy Luzia in the high of the hill who takes her name, on the top the sight of the beach is impressive. The church me resembles very much the Sacré Coeur of Paris, really it was inspired in the paris's temple and she has airs neo - Romanesque, Byzantine and Gothic.
From there I return in same funicular to Viana's center and cross his streets up to coming to the park near the river where I admire the bridge on the Lima's river constructed by Alexandre Gustave Eiffel and opened in 1878.
